The first song on this side is called “Salute Deez Nuts” and includes incredibly unpatriotic lyrics with a momentary ’80s metal guitar solo\, so I’m basically sold. Following that up with “Dialectical Immaterialism” is exactly the kind of irreverent smartass shit I love—like\, yes I’m familiar with Marxist epistemology but that will not stop me from making a joke about balls when I’m talking about the pitfalls of pledging allegiance to a nation-state. And why are there funny jazzy breakdowns with spoken word overlaid? And the Wrinkled Rat side is no slouch either. It’s exactly what I want to hear in a sweaty basement; just super tight hardcore with a vision and a mission. Smart punk at its best; it’s amazing.
